Here's a long video of Ashe showing off his new "words" with liberal prompting by mom & dad. He does actually say these things independently without such prompting. This was taken about a week ago in the cabin at Thumb Cove.

Our first family camping trip

Nick, Ashe, and I went to Thumb Cove State Marine Park earlier this week for a couple of nights. We took a water taxi out of Seward, across Resurrection Bay, into Thumb Cove where we'd rented a state park cabin for 2 nights. It was a lovely spot! We figure cabins are the way to go this summer. Ashe loved sitting on the rocky beach. We joked the rocks were like the biggest pile of toys ever. We all slept really well in the quiet spot and had a nice time together, in spite of constant rain Thursday. Looking forward to getting out around Alaska this summer! Next weekend - Hope.

Favorite activity: chasing the kitties!

Often the first thing Ashe wants to do when he wakes up is chase the cats. He practically leaps out of my arms when he sees them. Leo is remarkably tolerant and willing to be "caught." Lilly - not so much.
